Brand New here and in need of help.

Just bought a Mortal Kombat 3 machine. The monitor is surging when ever the control panel on the front of the machine is tapped or if your playing the game and you get on the joystick or buttons hard it surges. If you don't touch the machine it plays great. If you tap it surge, tap surge, tap surge. It only does it when the panel gets a little jar. Seems to me like a lose wire or ground. But it's my first machine and to be honest I'm lost and don't know jack about arcade machines! Please help.
