after going through a number of catalogs and parts lists I discovered that my recently purchased "cabinet" style video game console has a bad "yoke" connection and is blowing fuses in one of the circuit boards. My question is what is going to be a better\cheaper decision of how to fix this cabinet? replace the monitor with a newer version or try to find a replacement for the original? Also, I don't have too much background in this type of repair. Is this the sort of repair a novice like me can handle? Any feedback would be appreciated.
